Inpatient Behavioral Health Services

The inpatient unit at Astria Toppenish Hospital is part of Washington State's civil commitment program, providing long-term psychiatric care with stays ranging from 90 to 180 days or longer. Patients work with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and develop coping skills for managing symptoms safely upon release. In July 2024, Astria Health initiated an expansion of the Behavioral Health Unit. This project adds 14 new beds, increasing the total capacity to 29 beds, and enables the hospital to serve an estimated additional 157 psychiatric patients annually.

Getting Started with Care
