Astria Toppenish Hospital | Emergency Department

Astria Toppenish Hospital is a fully accredited community hospital established to care for the unique needs of the Toppenish and surrounding communities, including caring for the people living and working on the Yakama Nation and in communities throughout the region. Astria Toppenish Hospital became an affiliate of non-profit Astria Health in September 2017.

In collaboration with Astria Sunnyside Hospital, Astria Toppenish Hospital provides a full complement of inpatient and outpatient services. Toppenish hospital’s medical services include a 24-hour Emergency Department and Level IV Trauma Services, Acute Care Unit, 24/7 Inpatient Physicians (Hospitalists), Outpatient Gastrointestinal Services, and an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Astria Toppenish Hospital provides the people living and working throughout the region with advanced diagnostic imaging services and a full-service laboratory.

As an added complement to the medical services available at Astria Toppenish Hospital, a Native American Spiritual Center provides a place for Native Americans of all faiths to practice the healing rituals and ceremonies important in their beliefs.

FREE Community Resources

• Naloxone—Naloxone is provided, free of charge, in the Emergency Department, 24 hours each day, 7 days each week, 365 days each year. You may walk in and take a box and instruction brochure from the wall-mounted dispenser case marked OVERDOSE KITS without checking in at the front desk.
• Medication Take Back Box—Available inside the main hospital outside the Pharmacy window, across from the cafeteria. Anyone may dispose of unused and or expired medications at any time, no questions asked. 
• Sharps Disposal Box—This bright red box is available immediately outside the Emergency Department doors, 24/hours a day. Used (or unused) razor blades, syringes, lancets, or other sharp materials that need to be discarded can be disposed of any time by placing them in this drop box.
