Sikarin Upala, MD, MS, CCD, is a board-certified endocrinologist. He has extensive training and the clinical expertise to provide treatment in all areas of endocrinology and diabetes care management. Dr. Upala completed his fellowship in endocrinology at The University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, and his internal medicine residency at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York. He received his Master of Science degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dr. Upala is committed to medical research and is an author of several medical publications on weight management and nutrition topics. He is a Diplomate on the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD). He is board certified on the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and has received an Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism certification. He is also a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the International Society for Clinical Densitometry, the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the National Lipid Association.
