Astria Health is pleased to welcome Board-Certified Urologist Richard Mynatt, MD, to its Astria Health Center in Sunnyside.
“I’ve missed practicing in the Yakima Valley, and I feel fortunate to be back at Astria Health,” said Dr. Mynatt. “I’m looking forward to serving patients in Sunnyside and Toppenish.”
Dr. Mynatt worked for Astria Health before the COVID-19 pandemic. He brings over 35 years of experience in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the male reproductive system and urinary tract issues in both men and women. Dr. Mynatt and his team provide surgical and nonsurgical treatment for health issues including, but not limited to overactive bladder, erectile dysfunction, hematuria or blood in the urine, interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome, kidney stone disease, prostatitis/swelling of the prostate gland and voiding dysfunction/benign prostatic hyperplasia.
He completed his residency in urology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and a residency in general surgery at the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, California. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee, and completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
“Dr. Mynatt is an excellent surgeon and physician,” said Brian Gibbons, Astria Health President and Chief Executive Officer. “When he expressed the desire to return to the Yakima Valley, we knew that we needed him back on our team.”
