Parents of children ages six months old to four years old can bring their children to receive COVID-19 vaccines at the Astria Health Center – Sunnyside Pediatrics, located at 803 E Lincoln Avenue.
“The COVID-19 vaccine is proven to prevent serious illness in children and adults,” said Ana Garcia, M.D., Astria Health Pediatrician. “We’re very pleased that these vaccines are now available for children under four years old.”
Earlier this summer, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved the use of COVID-19 vaccines for children aged six months to four years old. Dr. Garcia encourages parents to ask their healthcare providers and local pharmacists questions about the vaccine.
“I’m always happy to answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and all other recommended immunizations for children,” said Dr. Garcia. “It’s important that we protect our children from the serious consequences of contracting these illnesses.”
