Astria Health is pleased to announce that Esmeralda Chavez-Anderson, PMHNP, has stepped into a new role as a Behavioral Health provider. Until recently, she provided primary care to patients at Astria Health Center – Union Gap, as a Nurse Practitioner. She recently received her psychiatric certification, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, KY. PMHNPs have completed both bachelor’s and master’s degrees after first becoming RNs. Her services will include:
Esmeralda is treating patients age 11 and up for conditions that include anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia and more. She has begun seeing patients in this capacity at Astria Health Center – Sunnyside on Edison.

Ms. Chavez-Anderson has over 14 years of nursing experience, has been a family nurse practitioner (FNP) previously for Astria Health, and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
