Sunnyside, WA (November 16, 2018) - It is our pleasure to invite the Yakima Valley community to Astria Sunnyside Hospital’s 2018 Festival of Trees on Friday, November 30 from 5:30pm to 10pm and on Saturday, December 1 from 10am to 3pm at the Sunnyside Community Center, located at 1521 S. 1st Street, Sunnyside, WA. Guests will be greeted with winter scenes and over 65 beautifully decorated trees.
The Festival of Trees is the most popular annual fundraiser hosted by Astria Sunnyside Hospital for the Astria Sunnyside Foundation. All proceeds go toward the Astria Sunnyside Hospital replacement hospital project. This event is supported by dozens of businesses. The entire community is invited to enjoy these two days of activities.
· Friday, November 30: Festival of Trees “Yuletide Reception” from 5:30pm to 10pm. The event features decorated trees, buffet dinner, local wines, beer and soft drinks. Guests must be 21 to attend. There will be a silent and live auction showcasing an African Photo Safari and an Alaskan Fishing trip. Tickets are $50 per person. Sponsorships and reserved table seating options are available.
· Saturday, December 1: Children’s “Peppermint Express” and the Senior’s “Silver Star” open house event are from 10am to 3pm. The open house will feature various activities such as crafts, and music performances at the top of each hour. We invite you to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while listening to community members read holiday stories. We will be collecting canned food items, and toys for the Salvation Army and Northwest Harvest at this event.
Brian Gibbons, CEO of Astria Sunnyside Hospital, states, “We are pleased to announce the 2018 Festival of Trees. We are thrilled to continue this long-standing community tradition. All of the proceeds from this year Festival of Trees will benefit the Astria Sunnyside Hospital replacement project. We want to thank the community for their continued support of this event and our mission to improve healthcare in the region.”
