Having a baby is one of the most exciting and rewarding life moments, and Astria Health is dedicated to providing expectant mothers and their newborns with the finest care during this special time. Our maternity services are provided by obstetricians, labor and delivery specialists, nurses and other caring professionals in a welcoming, comfortable environment at Astria Sunnyside Hospital.
You'll find the full spectrum of care, from prenatal to postpartum care, including high-risk pregnancy care and advanced labor and delivery services. Our comprehensive care extends beyond delivery, with a full range of educational resources for new parents.
We have four spacious delivery suites, each containing a Jacuzzi tub and everything needed for labor and postpartum care for you and your new baby. We look forward to caring for you and your new baby during your stay with us. We will also provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your health as a new mother and for your newborn.
As an expectant mother, we will do all we can to provide you with individualized care that meets both your needs and your preferences. Our goal is to provide you with the birth experience that you are hoping for. Your physician and nurse will keep you informed as to the options available during labor, delivery and postpartum. Anesthesia staff is available to help with any pain management needs.
Astria Sunnyside Hospital also has a Cesarean Section Suite located right in the Family Birth Center. The C-Section Suite has state-of-the-art technology and is designed so that baby and mother can remain in the same room for the duration of the procedure.
Our nurses are specially trained in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care and the current full-time staff are certified breastfeeding educators. Both family practice physicians and an OB-GYN are on staff to deliver at Astria Sunnyside Hospital. We also have a pediatrician available to care for your new baby on an ongoing basis, if you so desire.
Astria Sunnyside Hospital has attained a Gold Safe Sleep Champion designation by the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program. As a part of that certification, all of our nurses have been trained on infant safe sleep practices and are here to help you make sure your baby is sleeping safely.
