Astria Health is pleased to announce their partnership with the City of Sunnyside regarding the 2023 Festival of Trees event to be on December 9, 2023.
The 2023 Festival of Trees event is a decorated Christmas tree live auction that will benefit the Wings of Love fund of the Astria Health Foundation, and a proposed animal shelter for the City of Sunnyside. The annual event is a fundraiser for local important causes that are underfunded.
The Wings of Love fund, Astria Health Foundation is raising funds for Wings of Love, a designated fund that extends financial support to assist patients and families as they fight cancer. Wings of Love funds are gifts, available for cancer patients being treated by Astria Health doctors. The fund is a result of generous donations and fundraising efforts of the Astria Health Foundation.
Additionally, the City of Sunnyside has created a fund for the purpose of supporting a proposed animal shelter. The city has long had a great need for an animal shelter of its own due to the continual rising stray animal populations in the area. These two funds will be the recipients of proceeds from the event.
Guests to this year’s event will be greeted by a festive wintery scene, complete with 17 beautifully decorated trees sponsored by local persons and businesses. Each sponsored tree has its own theme chosen by, and designed by its sponsor. The event also boasts a variety of items up for auction and raffle, as well as a face painter, dessert dash, and a dinner sponsored by Astria Sunnyside Hospital.
Tickets for this charitable event are $60 per person, or $100 per couple. Guests are encouraged to wear dressy, festive attire, and to come prepared to enjoy an evening promoting the spirit of Christmas, specially designed to provide hope for both cancer patients and animals in need. The event will be held December 9, from 6–9pm at the Sunnyside Community Center, 1521 South 1st Street, Sunnyside.
