Whether you've suffered an injury at work or on the field, are recovering from orthopedic surgery or just want to better manage your pain, Astria Regional Medical Center can help.
The rehabilitation program features physical and occupational therapists who provide care on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Working closely with you and your primary physician, your therapist will design a tailor-made plan to treat your pain and restore movement, balance and strength. And we place special focus on education, arming you with tools to help prevent reinjury.
Personalized Programs to Get You Back to Your Life
We provide comprehensive exercise, strength and conditioning therapies for severe arthritis, tendinitis, orthopedic traumas and other bone and joint injuries. In addition, our physical therapists have specialized training and treatment techniques to help relieve neck and back pain, and we offer lymphedema services to ease discomfort caused by swelling in the arms and legs.
Licensed therapists, including skilled hand specialists, help you regain the ability to perform daily activities following an illness or injury. We simulate work and home-living situation, for activities such as bathing, grooming, meal planning and housekeeping.
If you're hospitalized following surgery like joint replacement, you'll be seen by a physical and occupational therapist on our dedicated orthopedics floor. We'll work to get you up and walking the same day as your surgery, and help you achieve daily goals. You'll also join patients in group therapy, where you can root each other on—and just may marvel at how far you've come in such a short time.
